Rick Pride

President and Principal Consultant

Rick is founder of CIO Services Group and serves as President and Principal Consultant.   Rick is an accomplished information management executive with broad and deep experience providing global business and technology leadership. His industry background includes healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, logistics and government.  Rick’s skillset includes strategic planning, organization design, cybersecurity, business analytics, forecasting, and process improvement.  His business knowledge spans logistics, finance, manufacturing, sales and marketing.

As a consultant Rick has helped senior leadership change and improve their IT organization and resources.  He also has worked with senior management leaders to develop and improve their understanding of IT and create IT strategies and plans.  The result of his guidance and recommendations generally lead to reduced costs, stronger IT governance practices, better IT and business processes, simplification of IT technology and more optimal utilization of IT resources.

Prior to CIO Services, Rick held a number of senior IT positions.  He was Chief Information Officer of Smith & Nephew, a global medical device company.  He was VP & CIO of Maybelline supporting their health and beauty aids business and leading their supply chain initiatives. He was also divisional CIO for Clairol and Bristol-Myers Squibb International.

Rick is a computer science graduate of Purdue University and has an MBA from the University of Evansville.  As an IT professional he is a member the Society for Information Management (SIM), the premier network of IT executives and thought leaders, and has served on the International Board and as President of the Memphis chapter.  His other volunteer activities include service on the Boards for the Mid-South American Red Cross, the Collierville Community Foundation and the University of Memphis’ MIS Advisory Board.  Currently, Rick is an Executive-in-Residence for the University of Memphis School of Business.
